TapMyPlace is operated by Codar.me. QR plates carry a stable Link URL whose destination can be updated by its owner.
Data used to provide the service
We process account email, name, login sessions and preferences; plates, Links, destinations and access counts; and device identifiers needed for authentication, recovery and abuse prevention.
Providers and external destinations
Hosting, database, email and security providers process data required for their functions. Destination URLs are submitted to Google Web Risk for threat checks. Opening a destination sends you to a third-party service with its own practices. Error monitoring may send technical diagnostics to Sentry.
Website analytics and cookies
On the website we use exactly three tools: Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and PostHog. They measure visits, conversions and advertising performance, are on by default and may set cookies or similar identifiers on your device. To opt out, choose Reject in the cookie notice or Cookie preferences in the page footer; tracking stops at once and the page reloads. Your choice is stored in a cookie for one year. The mobile app does not load these tools.

You can request access, correction or removal of your personal data by contacting Codar.me. We assess each request, including operational plate records and any applicable retention obligations, and explain the outcome through that contact.
